Ballroom Dance

Ballroom dance includes some Latino dance forms and other types of dance such as the waltz, pasodoble, salsa, tango, swing, foxtrot, charleston, boogie-wogie, and rock and roll…

Ballroom dances are those, which are danced in pairs, that form coordination and follow the rhythm of the music, but they can also be danced individually. In it’s origin, the dances were merely leisurely, popular and had a social impact of such magnitude that it lead to the creation of specific rooms that, provided with an orchestra and a suitable floor, would facilitate their practice. Currently, it is practiced also as a sport in organized competitions with regulations for the corresponding national and international ballroom dance federations.
