Hip hop new style

In the 90s, with the evolution and growing success of the Hip Hop scene and its new musical tendencies, a new style of dance was created that qualified as New school and was given the name New Style. This style is based on the Old school styles (Break Dance, Locking and Popping) but leaves behind the improvisation and floor positions for synchronized and choreographed sequences. It’s performed on music video performances, shows, concerts, publicity and other media events.

In the New Style or L.A. Style one can find so many influences of Old School like Jazz dance, Hindú, African, and any other style of dance. It’s characterized by its freedom of movements, for its few marked guidelines and above all, for the originality of each dancer.
